Youth AFL football for kids in years 7 to 12 provides an environment for players to develop their skills and passion for the game. This stage of football emphasises teamwork, personal growth, and the enjoyment of playing, while fostering a sense of community among players, coaches, and families.
Competitions are organised by age and skill level, ensuring that all participants can compete fairly. Players receive guidance from qualified coaches who focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
In addition to improving their football skills, participants gain valuable life skills such as leadership, resilience, and collaboration. The community aspect of youth football fosters friendships and encourages active lifestyles, helping teens stay physically fit and connected to their local community.
The High Wycombe Junior Football Club is affiliated with KidSport, allowing eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 to receive financial assistance of up to $500 per financial year for club fees. Vouchers can be applied at various KidSport clubs, making it easier for more children to get active and engage in community sports.
